Please read our adoption policies:
- You must meet the cat before final approval is made. Our goal is to ensure the best fit for the cat and adopter.
- Applying does not guarantee you a cat.
- Adopters must be 21 years or older. We sometimes consider 18+ depending on circumstances.
- You must have approval from your building or landlord to have a cat if you rent. We will require written approval via lease, pet addendum, or contact with them.
- All current pets must be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, have been tested for FIV/FeLV (if a cat), and spayed/neutered. We will do a vet check to verify this.
- If you are adopting a young cat, we may require they have an age-appropriate playmate at home.
- With certain exceptions, we do not refund for vet care after adoption. We ensure the cats are up to date on vaccines, dewormed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, spayed/neutered, and treated for any illness while in our care. We do our best to provide all information to their new families, but it is important to note that cats are living creatures and get sick just like humans.
- We only adopt within 100 miles of the DMV.
- Cats are a lifetime commitment! If you do not plan to keep your cat through life changes and circumstances, please reconsider adopting.
- We do not hold pets for more than a week once the application is approved. If you are getting pre-approved to adopt, we cannot guarantee any animal will be here when you are ready to take one home.
